As a CFP, financial planner, educator and author, who is a member of the FP Canada and A+ member of BBB, he has been helping individuals, families and business owners meet their financial planning needs for over 20 years. He currently serves as President and Financial Planner with Wiltshire Financial Management Inc. in HRM, a company he founded in 2011. Doug has extensive experience in retirement and estate planning, cash flow management, insurance and investments.Doug’s professional designations and registrations include, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and the Canadian Securities Course. He is a graduate of Dalhousie University earning his Bachelor of Commerce Degree as well as Saint Mary’s University, where he received his Bachelor of Education Degree, specializing in Math. Doug’s experience and broad range of industry knowledge is recognized throughout Nova Scotia, where he has worked with individuals, multi-generational families, local businesses, and charities. A Halifax native, Doug enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. He is a recreational musician and practices and instructs karate in his spare time. He is also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and Wiltshire is an A+ accredited BBB member.
